When it makes sense

  • Sagging breasts or excess skin
  • Breasts that lost their shape after pregnancy or major weight loss
  • Women who want a discreet, elegant breast without an implant

A breast lift raises the breast: it removes excess skin, treats sagging and repositions all the structures.

Enlarging and repositioning are different goals.

I do not start by choosing a technique. I start by understanding what bothers you and what your anatomy allows.

BIO IMPLANTE® is one of its steps

When indicated, one of the steps of the breast lift without implants is BIO IMPLANTE®: the tissue at the base of the breast itself becomes the volume of the upper breast, with no implant.

What it does not do

A breast lift without implants lifts and shapes. It does not add volume: enlarging the breast requires silicone.

The surgery

  • Average duration of 3 to 4 hours
  • Usually epidural anesthesia with sedation, with you asleep
  • Post-operative garment for about 2 months
  • Taping on the breasts from the moment you leave surgery, changed every week at follow-ups

Recovery, by my guidance

  • Office work: 3 to 4 days
  • Driving: after 7 days
  • Light arm training: from 21 days
  • Arm and torso training: after 6 weeks

It varies by patient.

Scar

  • Slight sagging: only around the areola, or a "lollipop" shape
  • Moderate sagging: around the areola and vertical (an L)
  • Very saggy breast with a lot of excess skin: around the areola, vertical and an inverted T

It depends on how much the breast sags, not on the technique.

Your path, from the first meeting to the last follow-up.

  1. Essence Day

About 2 hours at the clinic, with the nutritionist, an exam and a drawing of your case.

  2. Planning

You receive your surgical plan and decide in your own time.

  3. Preparation

A full check-up and follow-up with the nutritionist.

  4. Surgery

With Dra. Diana Matoso, the anesthesiologist who works with me.

  5. Aftercare

Follow-ups from 1 week to 1 year, with physiotherapy and lymphatic drainage.

Safety is not assumed. It is explained.

Fear of surgery and anesthesia is legitimate. That is why it has room in the consultation, and every step is explained before it happens.

  • The anesthesiologist who works with me

Dra. Diana Matoso reviews your tests and explains the anesthesia 2 to 4 weeks before surgery. Often what patients fear most is the anesthesia.

  • Time to ask everything

In the consultation you talk openly about what worries you. I explain each step until you feel safe.

  • Preparation before surgery

A full check-up (tests, micronutrients, vitamins and hormones) and follow-up with the nutritionist, so you arrive well prepared.

  • Close to you afterwards

Follow-ups at 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year, with physiotherapy and lymphatic drainage. The taping is changed every week at follow-ups.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between BIO IMPLANTE® and a breast lift?

A breast lift raises the breast: I remove excess skin, treat sagging and reposition the structures. BIO IMPLANTE® is one of its steps: I use tissue from the base of the breast itself to give volume to the upper breast, with no implant and no outside material.

Does BIO IMPLANTE® enlarge the breast?

No. Enlarging the breast requires silicone. BIO IMPLANTE® is for those who want to keep or reduce their size, naturally.

What about the scar?

It depends on how much the breast sags, not on the technique. The more it sags and the more excess skin, the longer the scar tends to be: it can be only around the areola, a "lollipop", an L or an inverted T. You see this in the drawing of your case, at the consultation.

How long is the surgery? Which anesthesia is used?

On average, 3 to 4 hours. It is usually epidural anesthesia with sedation, with you asleep.

Does it hurt?

I use epidural anesthesia with sedation and preparation with a nutritionist and a full check-up so recovery is more comfortable. Each patient reacts differently.

When can I go back to work, drive and exercise?

By my guidance, and it varies by patient: office work in 3 to 4 days; driving after 7 days; light arm training from 21 days; arm and torso training after 6 weeks.

Do I need a bra or compression garment?

I recommend a post-operative garment for about 2 months. You leave surgery with taping on the breasts, changed every week at follow-ups.

Can I breastfeed afterwards?

It is a myth that breast surgery prevents breastfeeding. Many patients breastfeed. In some cases there may be some difficulty with milk flow.

How long does the result last?

It tends to last many years, if you keep your weight, a healthy lifestyle and skin care. Over time the breast may settle a little, which makes the result more natural.

Can breast and abdomen be done together?

Yes, if your tests are normal and surgery time stays within the safety margin, around 6 to 7 hours at most. It is what I call a Mommy Makeover.
