Live outside BH or Brazil? There is an online consultation, 30 to 40 minutes, by video and photos.
Safety is not assumed. It is explained.

Preparation before surgery
A full check-up (tests, micronutrients, vitamins and hormones) and follow-up with the nutritionist, so you arrive well prepared.
Close to you afterwards
Follow-ups at 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year, with physiotherapy and lymphatic drainage. The taping is changed every week at follow-ups.

I chose medicine because of my father, who loved being a doctor. I graduated from UFMG in 2005 and did my General Surgery residency at Hospital da Baleia, a reference in Minas Gerais for cancer care.
In 2008 I entered the Plastic Surgery residency at IPSEMG, completed in 2011, ranked first. I started with reconstructive surgery, where I learned to operate on the breast and saw what plastic surgery can give back to someone.
I chose plastic surgery because it was the best way I found to make a difference in people’s lives. When a woman feels well again, it does not stop with her: it reaches the people she loves.

What is the difference between BIO IMPLANTE® and a breast lift?
A breast lift raises the breast: I remove excess skin, treat sagging and reposition the structures. BIO IMPLANTE® is one of its steps: I use tissue from the base of the breast itself to give volume to the upper breast, with no implant and no outside material.
Does BIO IMPLANTE® enlarge the breast?
No. Enlarging the breast requires silicone. BIO IMPLANTE® is for those who want to keep or reduce their size, naturally.
Who is BIO IMPLANTE® indicated for?
For those who do not want an implant, have good breast volume, good-quality skin (thicker and more elastic) and firmer tissue.
Who is it not indicated for?
For those who want to enlarge the breast and for those who want a very defined upper breast, a firm and perky look. The technique does not deliver that result.
What about the scar?
It depends on how much the breast sags, not on the technique. The more it sags and the more excess skin, the longer the scar tends to be: it can be only around the areola, a "lollipop", an L or an inverted T. You see this in the drawing of your case, at the consultation.
How long is the surgery? Which anesthesia is used?
On average, 3 to 4 hours. It is usually epidural anesthesia with sedation, with you asleep.
Does it hurt?
I use epidural anesthesia with sedation and preparation with a nutritionist and a full check-up so recovery is more comfortable. Each patient reacts differently.
When can I go back to work, drive and exercise?
By my guidance, and it varies by patient: office work in 3 to 4 days; driving after 7 days; light arm training from 21 days; arm and torso training after 6 weeks.
Do I need a bra or compression garment?
I recommend a post-operative garment for about 2 months. You leave surgery with taping on the breasts, changed every week at follow-ups.
Can I breastfeed afterwards?
It is a myth that breast surgery prevents breastfeeding. Many patients breastfeed. In some cases there may be some difficulty with milk flow.
How long does the result last?
It tends to last many years, if you keep your weight, a healthy lifestyle and skin care. Over time the breast may settle a little, which makes the result more natural.
Can the implant be removed and the breast reshaped in the same surgery?
Yes, when the tissue allows. If the implant was small and the breast sags little, sometimes removal alone is enough. With a large implant, a breast lift is often needed as well, and BIO IMPLANTE® is part of it. The idea is that you leave without the implant, but not without your breast.
Can breast and abdomen be done together?
Yes, if your tests are normal and surgery time stays within the safety margin, around 6 to 7 hours at most. It is what I call a Mommy Makeover.
How long is the Essence Day?
About 2 hours at the clinic: a welcome video and a table of healthy snacks, the nutritionist with a bioimpedance test (20 to 25 minutes), a detailed medical consultation with the drawing of your case, and the surgery planning.
Is there an online consultation?
Yes, 30 to 40 minutes, by video and photos. It is widely used by those who live outside BH and by International Plastic patients.
If I have surgery, is the consultation fee deducted?
Yes. The consultation fee is deducted from the final surgery quote.
When do I talk to the anesthesiologist?
After you confirm the plan and complete the pre-operative tests, 2 to 4 weeks before surgery, with Dra. Diana Matoso. She reviews the results and explains the anesthesia. Often what patients fear most is the anesthesia, and this conversation is there to give you security.
Is Dr. Roger against silicone?
No. In some cases an implant makes sense, and women who want one are welcome. A silicone-free breast is one more choice, made with information.
Can I bring someone to the consultation?
Yes, and we recommend it. Bring someone you trust, because it is a very important decision.
How much does the surgery cost?
It depends on several factors of your case. The fee is presented at the planning, after the consultation.
I live far away or abroad. How does it work?
There is the online consultation, 30 to 40 minutes, by video and photos. For patients abroad there is International Plastic, with care in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Talk to the team on WhatsApp.
